Curriculum overview.

Our Early Years settings are the first step on your child’s journey here with us at Christ Church and we would like to extend a warm welcome to you, into our school community. 

As part of our school, we have a brand new Pre School as well as two Foundation Stage 2 (Reception) classes in our EYFS unit.  The EYFS is led by Mrs Belen Campbell and consists of a team of highly skilled teachers and teaching assistants that work together to provide the very best start for your child on their educational journey.

As we build upon the experiences and skills mastered during the early years stage of our learning journey we learn through play, exciting themes and guided exploration of concepts.

Our learning environment mirrors the FS2 classrooms during the Autumn term, continuing to provide hands on learning opportunities that are inviting, exciting and challenging for our inquisitive, creative children. We provide support for children to continue to work on skills that they have been working on in FS2 whilst also introducing the Key Stage One curriculum.

Your class teachers are Mrs Ashworth and Mrs Joyce.  Miss Porter is our amazing Teaching Assistant who works closely with us to help support your learning.

We are classes 5 and 6.

We are Mrs Quinn, Mrs Parrington, your Year 3 teachers. We also have Mrs Harris and Mrs Scott, our teaching assistants, who are there to help you as well.

Exciting learning awaits as we explore three themes of learning across the year – Wirral warriors, Ancient civilisations and why are we so amazing?

We are Mrs Tacey, Mrs Edgington and Mrs Taylor - your Year 4 teachers.  We also have Mrs Webster - our wonderful teaching assisstant. 

We just cannot to share all of the exciting learning and fun experiences we have in store for you!

Our year begins by travelling back in time to the Roman era where you will experience a day in the life of a Roman soldier and go into battle with the Celts!

Your teachers throughout the week are Mrs Cooper, Mrs Radford and Mrs Harris and we
are in classes 11 and 12.  Our teaching assistant is Mrs Scott, who works
closely with us to help support your learning.

We have an exciting year ahead in Year Five. Our units of work follow along from your learning in
Year Four.

Your teachers throughout the week are Mrs Lakin and Mrs Dolphin and we
are in classes 13 and 14,in the annexe! Our teaching assistant is Miss Harding, who works
closely with us to help support your learning.

We have an engaging and challenging curriculum in Year 6. Our units of work follow along from your learning in
Year Five.
